Abstract

In this chapter, several application examples are introduced, which will be used to illustrate the diagnosis schemes presented and studied in this book. The objective of introducing these application examples in the first part of this book, immediately after the introduction, is to provide the reader with the useful application background and understandings of some basic technical concepts in the process monitoring and fault diagnosis field.
