Abstract

A new combination system consisting of boron trifluoride etherate and dimethyl sulfide has proved to be useful especially for the selective removal of the benzyl protecting group in a molecule having a Michael acceptor or carbonyl group(s). © 1980, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan.
