Abstract

Puguang gas field is the largest un-compartmentalized marine stratum and high-sulfur gas field discovered in China. The natural gas purification device is mainly controlled by central control room for the main process, auxiliary facilities and public facilities of the whole plant. The central control room adopts CS3000 Distributed Control System (DCS) of Yokogawa Electric Corporation. This system divides the whole plant into five domains. Part of the control system adopts remote control, and part of detection system adopts local measurement in the field. A small number of control panel, PLC for several auxiliary and public facilities are also local control. The process of natural gas purification plant is complicated, with complex control loops and difficult operation. Based on the DCS configuration principle, this paper illustrates two complex control loops of the purification plant, so as to more clearly illustrate the application of Distributed Control System in high-sulfur gas field. Workers can also carry out system maintenance, laying a good foundation for the smooth operation of future production.
