This article presents the experience of using WhatsApp as a tool to promote communication and learning in the university field, specifically at the Escuela de Bibliotecologia y Ciencias de la Informacion de la Universidad de Costa Rica. Its use was implemented in 7 courses offered during the years 2018 and 2019, obtaining satisfactory results through an investigation with a quantitative approach and descriptive scope that was carried out with 165 students of different levels. It is considered a resource that promotes mobile learning and offers advantages that should be used in the educational field.
