Abstract

This paper presents a Genetic Algorithm approach for optimal integration of Wind based on Distributed Generation (WDG) in smart grid taking in to count technical and security constraints. The optimal integration that is to say, look for the optimal location and size of the WDG to be integrated into the network. The objective function considered in this study is minimize active power losses. The proposed method is applied on IEEE 14 bus using MATLAB software.
