Abstract

The article discusses the ethical issues associated with raising minimum legal age for drinking into 25 years-old in India. Discussion of the factors that motivate the government to change the mandate and how it has raised ethical question on the basis of social concern and welfare is provided. Emphasis regarding the appropriateness of the government's decision to curb reckless and unhealthy lifestyle activities of the alcoholics is offered.
