Abstract

A case of progressive cauda equina syndrome secondary to ossification of the lumbosacral dura arachnoid following an incomplete spinal cord injury is presented. The etiology of the ossification is unclear and may be secondary to heterotopic osseous metaplasia such as occurs in other sites in spinal cord injured patients. © 1995, International Spinal Cord Society.
