Divorce is a critical situation for all family's members; researches have underlined the effects of divorce on children, trying to identify the causal factors on children's diseases. More recently, this causal outlook has been shelved, focusing on more complex explanations based on the study of risk factors or protection factors for the child's development. For a long time, the studies on divorce's children has misunderstood the part of the child in the couple conflict; it is only recently that some studies have underlined his active part in the adult's relations that allows to consider the child as a marital conflict's source. In this article, the authors present two situations in which the child plays an active part in the couple dynamics: the Parental Syndrome Alienation (PAS) and his behavior during pre-adolescence and adolescence.
