Abstract

In this work, we consider the cellular automata approach for modelling the climate change impact on water resources. This consists on coupling physical terrain attributes like altitude, soil type and land use, for a given region with the corresponding climate projections (temperature and precipitation). The system evolves under a water cycle dynamics governed by mass conservation principle. We apply the model to a basin in northern Morocco using a simulation tool we designed.
