An agent based simulation model is presented to investigate the longterm behavior of firms in an industrial district. The firms are interconnected with each other through input-output relations, product markets, labor, and innovation spillover. The prices of the products depend on the supply-demand balance of the market as well as on the innovation levels of the firms. Dynamic strategies of the firms are examined and conditions for successful industrial cluster formation are developed.
