The Delphi procedure seems to have attracted a great deal of popular attention. In fact, even those non-forecasters who know nothing else about technological forecasting frequently have at least heard of Delphi. The previous essay described it briefly, to put it into context with other methods. However, since so many have heard something about it, it deserves fuller treatment. The following essay, by one of the co-inventors of Delphi, Dr. Norman Dalkey of the Rand Corporation, presents a survey of current findings about Delphi.
