Abstract

The development and growth of the MOOCs in the last decade has started a revolution in open learning of university students. Diverse subjects, experiences and a multitude of multi-disciplinary and inter-university teams work in the planning, integration and improvement of this resource, which has educational aims in higher education. Scientific production on this line of research at the technology and educational levels has also been fruitful in this temporal interval of expansion and consolidation, although there is still much to be done as far as critical contributions that plan and allow for advancement in the post-MOOC era. The main focus of this study was to understand the motivations that stimulate the students when participating in these learning proposals, their degree of satisfaction and their intent in continuing along this line. Our results show that this method of learning has advantages that are highly valued by the participants, and it is considered to be a very attractive and enjoyable experience, which has an influence on the student's decision to continue attending.
