Abstract

The purpose of this paper was to realize the self-adjustment function of the conventional PID control parameters. Based on deducing the interstand tension control model of tandem cold rolling, this paper combined the fuzzy PID control algorithm with the conventional PID control technology to design a self-tuning fuzzy PID controller. Simulation results show that this method not only fulfills the self-adjustment function of control parameters under the various interference signals, but also optimizes the dynamic and static characteristic of the tension control system and improves the stability of the tension effectively. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH Berlin Heidelberg.
