Abstract

The research 'The Effect of Giving Tofu Liquid Waste on the Growth and Production of Red Chili (Capsicum Annum L) in Peat Media' was conducted from December 2021 to March 2022, at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Indragiri, Tempuling District, Indragiri Hilir Regency , Riau Province. This study aims to determine the effect of adding tofu liquid waste and to find out what is the best concentration of tofu liquid waste on the growth and production of red chili plants in peat media. This study used a non-factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 3 replications, and treatment concentrations D1 = Fermented tofu liquid waste with a concentration of 50%, D2 = Fermented tofu liquid waste with a concentration of 75%, D3 = Fermented tofu liquid waste with a concentration of 100 %, D4 = Non-fermented tofu liquid waste with a concentration of 50%, D5 = Non-fermented tofu liquid waste with a concentration of 75%, D6 = Non-fermented tofu liquid waste with a concentration of 100%. The data obtained were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance and if they were significantly different, they were continued with the Tukey HSD test at the 5% level. The results showed that the treatment of tofu liquid waste on the growth and production of red chili plants had a significant effect on the weight of one fruit, the number of fruits and the weight of fruit for planting red chilies and the treatment of non-fermented liquid waste with a concentration of 75% was the best and maximum treatment for plant growth and production. red chili on peat media.   Penelitian ’Pengaruh  Pemberian Limbah Cair Tahu Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Produksi Tanaman Cabai Merah  (Capsicum Annum L) Pada Media Gambut’ ini dilakukan pada bulan Desember  2021 sampai dengan bulan Maret 2022,  di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Islam Indragiri, Kecamatan Tempuling, Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir, Propinsi Riau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian limbah cair tahu dan untuk mengetahui berapa konsentrasi terbaik pemberian limbah cair  tahu terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman cabai merah pada media gambut. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) non faktorial dengan 3 kali ulangan, dan konsentrasi perlakuan  D1 = Limbah cair tahu fermentasi dengan konsentrasi  50 %, D2 = Limbah cair tahu fermentasi dengan konsentrasi  75 %, D3 = Limbah cair tahu fermentasi dengan konsentrasi  100 %, D4 = Limbah cair tahu non fermentasi dengan konsentrasi  50 %, D5 = Limbah cair tahu non fermentasi dengan konsentrasi  75 %, D6 = Limbah cair tahu non fermentasi dengan konsentrasi  100 %. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan analisis sidik ragam dan jika berbeda nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji Tukey HSD pada taraf 5 %. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan limbah cair tahu terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman cabai merah  berpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot satu buah, jumlah buah dan bobot buah pertanaman cabe merah dan perlakuan limbah cair non fermentasi dengan konsentrasi 75% merupakan perlakuan terbaik dan maksimal  terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman cabai merah pada media gambut.
