Abstract

FT-IR spectrometry was used to perform evolved gas analysis from samples used in thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential thermal analysis (DTA) techniques. In this study, we demonstrate the utility of such combined FT-IR/TGA/DTA techniques for identification of evolved gases from their infrared spectra and also for providing useful chemical insight regarding the sample.
