"Doctors are busy and don't stop to report how lousy or confusing the CPOE [computerized physician order entry] system is," he says. "Most importantly, it's extremely difficult to understand and perceive the difficulties with the HIT as hazards, because the doctors get very little training and just have to use them. It's unclear what's lousy HIT and what's insufficient training. I worry that hazard managers will create a false sense of security."
