Abstract

The aim of this work is to prove the efficacy of a Soft Computing approach to the problem of generating the best suited mesh for solving a differential problem with the Finite Element Method. Using Fuzzy Logic, it is possible to introduce a set of linguistic if-then rules reproducing the human expert reasoning used for creating the mesh. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2006.
