Abstract

Today, corporate world has experienced and relied upon mentoring as a proven technique for developing in-house talent. Mentoring is experiencing a rebirth because company leaders have identified the benefits of transferring knowledge among employees and its impact on employee performance, as well as organizational growth. Organizational or corporate mentoring has impact on employees to do the right thing with the assistance of senior employee which helps them to act efficiently and leads to greater job satisfaction and development of their knowledge and skills. Employee mentoring program assists employees to learn, grow and achieve their career goals. The paper is focused on the role of employee mentoring, and mentoring program toward talent development in an organization. This study has conducted research on 50 HR professionals of large-scale industries and organizations’ opinion on mentoring role in talent development, which reveals what type of mentoring system prevails in the organizations, employee mentoring program objective of the organization and how it leads to talent development. The study has established that there is significant relationship between mentoring and employee talent development.
