The generalization of the Mie—Grüneisen equation of state

Abstract

Summary. A generalized Mie—Grüneisen equation of state is found without thermodynamical limits of validity. The range of applicability of the classical Mie—Grüneisen equation is discussed and results are presented of a particular case of the present equation.
