Abstract

Violence and a fortiori sexual violence, even when it stops, traps its victims. Their space of possibilities seems suddenly reducing itself so as victims get the feeling of loosing the control on their own destiny. This process installs itself even more deeply if the fragility of family bonds condemns victims to silence for a long time. When confronted to such situation, the professional goals will be to allow these patients to again take over their own destiny without minimizing their own suffer, and to become again actors the way they choose. Therefore, we, as therapist, have the ability to think their history to allow them to succeed to give a narration about themselves.
