The simulation of integrated circuits demands an increasing amount of computational resources. Due to latency, the numerical integration based on multirate methods might be another denouement. These methods are tailored to coupled settings by the adaption of the numerical effort to the corresponding activity level. Furthermore, a refined modelling is more and more pursued. Therefore coupled systems arise and multirate is topic of many applications.
