Abstract

Over the last decade, there has been extensive growth in the use of the Internet worldwide. As a result, there has been an increase in the availability of web-based interventions that address a variety of health and psychological issues. This chapter reviews relevant online interventions followed by a description of SupportNet, a web intervention that addresses burnout in military behavioral health providers. We provide the technical and functional details of SupportNet along with important information regarding intervention engagement. We also provide recommendations for future system enhancements and conclude with a discussion of how SupportNet could be deployed within other provider settings.
