Abstract

A stress dependence of the critical current in thin films of Nb//3Sn and V//3Ga was found in monofilamentary Nb//3Sn wires. A strain effect was observed in the upper critical field. The effect has also been observed in the critical current of most potentially useful conductors having the A15 crystal structure.
