Research of education about industrial design based on the modern engineering design software

Abstract

Based on the analysis of current situation in industrial design education, the idea of concurrent engineering education was taken into modern industrial design education. The design software made for the platform, the capability of modeling the product shape, designing the structure of the product, concurrent designing, product performance and product manufacturing was made for the goal of modern industrial design education. At the same time, the process of product research and development made for the main line, modern industrial design education teaching modules taken for the content of research and exploration, the reform and exploration of industrial design education was carried out. On the basis of this, a three-dimensional teaching system was established. The teaching system was creative exploration in the improvement of the quality of students abality establishing in effect, especially under the backgroud of insufficient resources of teaching equipment and facilities and higher education popularized. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.
