Abstract

CaPaMan (Cassino Parallel Manipulator) has been developed as novel parallel architecture with mechanically robust design and user-friendly operation. It was conceived in the early 1996 at LARM in Cassino and since then it has been continuously improved in operation and design as well as it has been applied in different applications up to the today solutions. The paper illustrates historical evolution of CaPaMan designs with their characteristics also for future developments. © Springer Science+Business Media Dordrecht 2013.
