Abstract

Selecting the best equipment for a department is one of the key steps to a successful point-of-care ultrasound program. Purchase of machines and probes requires careful consideration of scope of practice, applications, modes, and workflow. In addition, other considerations relevant to point-of-care ultrasound include portability, durability, ease of use, image storage, and cost.
