Design and implementation of alert analyzer with data mining engine

Abstract

This paper describes an alert analyzer based on data mining techniques. The security policy server has to analyze and manage the alert messages received from policy enforcement system in Policy-Based Network Management framework. We develop an alert analyzer that supports security policy server for the available alert analysis. Also we design and implement mining system to help the alert analyzer for the security policy management. The alert analyzer with data mining engine is a useful system to manage the fault users or hosts.* © Springer-Verlag 2003.
