Abstract

It has been found that the term polymer is semantically overloaded and thus non-transparent. Based on an established hierarchy, the terms basic (pure) polymer, polymerisate and poymers are defined. The term polymers is a common name for natural or synthetic matters or materials in which the basic substance is the system of macromolecules.
