Abstract

Damage to the suprapontine structures may yield different types of pelvic organ dysfunctions. The evolving field of brain imaging may help developing more punctual and differentiated diagnostic and therapeutic tools. The goal of this chapter is to provide an introduction to the techniques of investigation of the suprapontine structures and to the evolution of the knowledge they have created.
