Abstract

From OClober 1995 lO January 1996 a survey oflhe cu1icid spec ies menlioned above was carried oul in a restriet All anti c Forest area, located in the Marumbi mountain (approximalely 6,5 km fromlhe lown of Morreles). Shannon light trap was used during 48 nights, in lhe fo ur lunar phases: fullmoon, tirst qual1er, new moon and last quartel' between evening and morning twilights. A total of 594 Coqui/lellidia (Rhyncholaenia) venezue/ensis (The- obald , 191 2) specimens were eollected and the different night flighl aClivily in the four 11100n phases was obselved. Regarding lhe hourly activity, the peak higher numbers 01' Coqlli/lellidia velle=ue/ellsis were collected in the tirst lh ree hours. Concerning the envirolll11ental tàctors, temperature was found to be the more relevant one for the llight ac ti vity of Coqllil/ellidia vene=lIe/ensis. KEY
