Abstract

By using the fluorescent nanoparticles as seed particles, the cconvective Marangoni (or Thermocapillary) flow in an cevaporating sessile water droplet has been observed. The cresults show that a stagnation point, where the surface flow cchanges its direction, exists at the boundary between the cmicro-region and the macro-region. Furthermore, the effects of cMarangoni stresses on the flow in the droplet have been cobserved and analyzed.
