In Indonesia, the case of cervical cancer ranks first, while in Jambi province it occupies the ninth position from the provinces in Indonesia. From the data obtained at the Muara Tembesi Health Center when carrying out an IVA examination in 2020, one person with a positive result was found. There are several methods used to detect cervical cancer. In Indonesia, the IVA method is used, because the technique is easy, simple, inexpensive, has a high level of sensitivity, is fast and accurate enough to find abnormalities at the stage of cell abnormalities (dysplasia) or before pre-cancer. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence women of childbearing age in participating in the Visual Inspection of Acetic Acid (IVA). This type of research is a quantitative research with a cross sectional design. The population in this study is 5,922. The sample of this study was 42 respondents with simple random sampling. Collecting data using questionnaires and analyzed by chi-square test. The results showed that the factors that influenced the examination were knowledge (p=0.131), attitude (p=0.000), education (p=0.791), husband's support (p=0.003), health worker support (p=0.720) and there was a relationship between access to information. with the behavior of VIA examination in women of childbearing age in early detection of cervical cancer with a value (p = 0.517). It is hoped that women of childbearing age can increase knowledge and awareness in changing behavior to perform an IVA test so that cervical cancer is detected early.
