IMPLEMENTASI PRINSIP GREEN GROWTH PADA AKTIVITAS PENGUMPUL GAMBIR DI KABUPATEN LIMA PULUH KOTA (STUDI KASUS: KECAMATAN PANGKALAN KOTO BARU DAN KECAMATAN KAPUR IX)

Abstract

The agricultural sector which is seen as a strategy for realizing green growth is gambier farming. The purpose of this study was to determine the activity analysis in realizing green growth in the gambier collection process and to determine the implementation of gambier collection policies in realizing green growth in Lima Puluh Kota district. The results of this study show that there are quantitative analysis results and qualitative results on conditions in realizing green growth from the assessment of three indicators that have been realized, namely sustainable economic growth, inclusive and fair growth, and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. While the assessment of two indicators has not materialized, namely social, economic and environmental resilience, and a healthy and productive service provider ecosystem. The government should provide guidance to gambir collectors to overcome problems regarding drying gambir with a manual burning process with firewood from the forest, then it is replaced by burning with rotten palm oil, dry palm fronds and unused wooden branches for the gambir drying process and it is hoped that there will be cooperation from all parties involved in the gambir business in Lima Puluh Kota district to realize green growth by continuing to protect the environment and ecosystem for future generations.
