Abstract

This paper aims to present a comprehensive overview of the current status and future trends of energy demand and emissions from transportation sector in China. Firstly, a brief review of the national profile of energy demand and the CO2 emission is presented to serve as background for this study. Secondly, the current status of Chinese transportation sector, including the energy demand and emission for transportation sector and sub-sector, is analyzed. At last, a conclusion summarizes and analyses the findings from the study, with the aim to raise further discussion or research interests in this area. This study serves as a guideline for further investigation and research to implement and improve the transportation sector.
