Abstract

We present a comparative analysis of different models which goal is to help surgeons in peripheral vascular bypass surgery planning. The models considered are based on the coupling between 3D, 1D and 0D models. Those are supplemented with different boundary conditions computed on basis of physiological patient-specific measurements. These multiscale models allow a more accurate analysis of the hemodynamic that is responsible for intimal hyperplasia development. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
