Abstract

Present daybrokerage systems relyon customized or standardized (meta)data models. Although this approach partiallysolves interoperability problems at data-level, software-level interoperability problems still remain. The Semantic Web paradigm, envisioned by Tim Berners-Lee, and its related technologies (e.g. RDF, WSDL, ontologies, etc.) provide us a new point of view to face this kind of problems. In this poster we outline the main features of our proposal for the definition of a complete set of software services to build Web-based educational brokerage systems in the upcoming Semantic Web framework. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2002.
