Abstract

In 1980,Christhild Wulle,Hand Surgeon of the Hand and Plastic Surgery Department of the Kliniken Dr.Erler in Nürnberg, described for the first time the synovial flap plasty (Synovialislappenplastik)and compared this technique with many others. Her paper was striking for its clear indications and very simple principle of the technique. We have been using Christhild Wulle's synovial flap technique since 1993 and are going to describe its indications and performance. © 2007 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
