Abstract

Accessibility in the context of the internet has been researched repeatedly in the last years and there are many treatises on this issue. The rapid development of computers and particularly internet software technologies in the Web 2.0 is the reason that a lot of this literature is outdated and the described methods are not applicable anymore. But especially these new technologies are very attractive to disabled people because they offer an interactive access to a lot of services to which can be very helpful. These possibilities should not be inaccessible for a minority just because of an insufficient technical realisation. This thesis aims at providing a basis for further discussion on cutting-edge methods for accessible web technologies and offers a set of instructions to successfully realise accessible concepts in internet projects according to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG).
