Abstract

Cloud computing is a business model of computing. Cloud providers started offering computing resources using various market-based allocation mechanisms. In combinatorial reverse auction-based cloud market, a user has computing resource requirements in the form of bundle, and provider also provides the resources in the bundle form. In this work, to ensure healthy competition in the cloud market, priority-based fair mechanisms have been proposed for combinatorial reverse auction-based cloud market along with a discussion on their advantages, shortcomings, applicability, etc. The proposed mechanisms are compared in terms of provider’s revenue, the number of winning providers, etc.
