In this synopsis all 50 species of the primarily neotropical genus Telebasis are keyed, diagnosed, and illustrated. Helveciagrion is considered a junior subjective synonym of Telebasis, T. coccinata a junior subjective synonym of T. coccinea, and T. limoncocha a junior subjective synonym of T. griffinii. Stiles, in FSCA); T. leptocyclia (holotype ♂: Brazil: Rondônia State, Abuna, 9°42′S, 65°23′W, 112 m, 09 iii 1922, leg. J.H. Williamson, J.W. Strohm, in UMMZ); T. levis (holotype ♂: Guatemala, El Petén Department, Uaxactun, 03 v 1931, leg. A.
