Abstract

The increase of percentage of poor people in Indonesia by 0.41% become a challenge for the government, especially in overcoming problems in the education field. The condition of education for middle-to-lower community in the country still needs to be concerned, thus leading to the hope for continuous education for all parts of the community. Education costs assistance is expected to help allocate education costs both directly and indirectly which have an impact on student motivation. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of PIP assistance on the motivation of students at 40 Public Junior High School, Bandung City. The method used in this study is a quantitative method. Data collection by means of interviews and questionnaires with a total sample of 23 respondents. The data were then analyzed using simple regression analysis using SPSS for Windows software. The results showed that the effectiveness of PIP assistance was 67.5%. The effectiveness of PIP assistance has a positive and significant effect on the motivation of students at Public Junior High School 40 Bandung City.
