Abstract

Model management is the discipline of manipulating models in support of Model-Driven Engineering (MDE) scenarios of interest. Model management may be supported and implemented via different operations - e.g., model transformation, validation, and code generation. We motivate the concepts and processes of model management, present a practical model management framework - Epsilon - and briefly indicate how it has been used to solve significant model management problems 'in the wild'. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2013.
