Reliable video transmission is very challenging over wireless network. Efficient coding and transmission control techniques are required to meet the requirements of Qos. This paper designs the model of video transmission system based on WIFI, which achieves a real-time wireless video transmission system. The RTP encapsulation and real-time control methods of wireless video transmission based on H.264 encoding have been focused on. An adaptive control model of video transmission based on WIFI is presented in this paper. Experiment results shows that the proposed the adaptive control method of video transmission can gain good Qos so that the stability and good qualities of video transmission are ensured. © 2013 Springer Science+Business Media New York.
