Online social networking tools promise to enable mentorship, professional development, and resource sharing between teachers across the Internet. This paper describes a first attempt to model teacher dialogue, an effort that will eventual lead to overlay tools that promote these kinds of beneficial community behaviors. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
