Abstract

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: Primary Objective: To examine the effect of stimulant or non-stimulant drugs (or both) on seizure frequency and seizure severity in children and adults with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and comorbid epilepsy. Secondary Objectives: To examine the effect of stimulant or non-stimulant drugs (or both) on ADHD symptoms in children and adults with ADHD and comorbid epilepsy. To examine adverse effects profile and withdrawal rates of stimulant or non-stimulant drugs (or both) in children and adults with ADHD and comorbid epilepsy. To examine the effect of stimulant or non-stimulant drugs (or both) on cognitive state, general behaviour, and Quality of Life (QoL) in children and adults with ADHD and comorbid epilepsy.
