Abstract

We describe the VOLARE ("Video On Line As Replacement of old tEaching practices") methodology, whose aim is to help traditional teachers to switch from the frontal lecture model to a pedogically more sound and effective strategy. The key of the methodology relies in taking advantage of today's innovative technology to relief the teacher from the duty of "knowledge presentation". The teacher can hence devote all the efforts to a more participatory and interactive exchange with the students. © 2010 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
