Abstract

Systemic capillary leak syndrome is a rare and potentially lethal disorder characterized by episodes of vascular hyperpermeability, which lead to shock. Although the pathogenesis is unknown, some viral infections can act as triggers. We present the irst case associated with inluenza A virus in adulthood, perform a literature review and discuss its treatment.
