Abstract

The goal of this study was to carry out an analysis of the characteristics of the break-up process in a sample of divorced people including variables such as length of marriage, use of mediation services and time elapsed since divorce. A number of mediation centres and associations of divorced people participated in the project. The results showed that a closer contact with the ex-spouse was related to a shorter duration of marital conflict and with the use of the mediation services. These findings are discussed along with other results. (English) [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
