Abstract

Geranium (family Geraniaceae) comprises about 400 species and grows in cosmopolitan distribution, chiefly concentrated in temperate regions. Similar to the plants in other genera of Geraniaceae, Pelargonium, Erodium, Monsonia, and Sarcocaulon, Geranium plants such as G. ibericum, G. renardii, G. sanguineum, etc. are important for garden and landscape uses as good hardy flowers and rock garden ornamentals.
