Abstract

This article aims to analyze how fashion images are created and propagated by professionals and any individual, as well as their meanings in contemporary times. Through literature review and analysis of specific cases, can be observed the influence of the traditional media and social networks on the concept of visual culture, placed by Smelik (2006). Thus, it is possible to understand how the fashion image migrates from the offline to the online environment and how, in contemporary times, fashion communication is done through visual, verbal written and oral language.
